What can I say, I love coffee. The smell of coffee is addicting and the thought of a holding a warm cup of coffee warms up my belly. I love that you can do anything at a coffee shop. That’s the best part. Somehow, I think it brings people together. A shared love for coffee and the addictions that comes with it.

At Bourbon Coffee, I decided to do my homework and think about my decisions lately. We all make decisions we regret and as difficult as it sound, we need to admit to them. No one wants to admit they are wrong, but that is the part of growing up. You make mistakes and you learn. This week was full of mistakes. I do not regret it, I will learn from it.

I feel like I have not been on here for a very long time. Even school started in September, I was still adjusting to a new job and my old job(s). Sometimes all of my friends would ask, “Why do you have so many jobs?!” It is interesting to me as well. I like occupying myself and constantly doing something. However, I think it might take a toll on me some day. My school and jobs are basically my life now. I wake up with just enough time to get ready and make the train. Then I would be too exhausted to do anything, instead I just go straight to bed. The cycle just continues. I do not even have time to sit and blog. Is this even good for me?

However, I am used to it. I have been working like this since high school, it is nothing new to me. Maybe the only I am missing out on is the bar/club scene which I do not think is much. The only other thing I can say I miss is time. Time to finish a painting, a book, a movie, a roll of film I started and possibly time to relax. I met someone recently who told me that I need to live and stop working so much. Blame it on my addiction to work in order to fulfilled my dreams.

Just because I work a lot it does not mean I cannot stop at a small coffee shop just to catch up. I do not think I can ever get sick of coffee. It is just too delicious and it runs in my veins.

Maybe I am immune to it, somehow it is nice to think that coffee can help me stay awake. Do you do this too??

The perfect way to say goodbye to summer and hello fall (a new semester as well).

Lana Del Rey – Summertime Sadness

Technically, summer is not over until mid-September but who are we kidding. Boston’s weather is so bipolar that we cannot even guess what the afternoon would it be like. It would rain in the morning and during the afternoon, the sun’s shining ray beams welcomes you. The humidity is heavy, moist and suffocating. It could be unbearable at times.

I’m just really excited for fall, my favorite season of the year. The vibrant colors when the leaves changes colors. The strenuous but rewarding hikes that are waiting for me to venture throughout this fall. Not only that, but fall fashion is the best. The many layers, socks, Oxford’s, and scarves I get to wear.  Just thinking about it makes me smile. That is why I am forever grateful that my dad decided to choose a state that have four seasons instead of just having summer/fall/spring all mixed into one.

How was your summer? Are you ending it with a bang? Or are you just like me and working the last day of summer away?

I love when it rains in the city, everything is calm and quiet. Perfect picture day.

As I am sitting here sipping my first hot vanilla soy latte (from Starbucks of course) of the season and listening to Erykah Badu. I think it is a perfect way to spend a rainy Labor day.

(n.) lit. “old hag’s summer”; a short period between summer and autumn, when the weather is still sunny, but not hot, the leaves begin to change color to yellow and little strings of spider webs are floating in the air.
